Visionary Eye Care Professionals is a two location, private practice focusing on full-scope, comprehensive, primary eye care. Our offices are located in the Loop and in the Andersonville area on the north side. ICO externs can expect to see a high volume of patients, with heavy exposure to all types of soft contact lenses, as well as gas permeable, hybrid, and scleral lenses. Our office is a referral source for dry eye therapy from other locations, and we treat a sizeable amount of glaucoma patients as well. We service a large proportion of LGBTQ+ patients and we see all ages, from infant to geriatric. Externs will gain experience with the following: OCT, Humphrey visual fields, Optos retinal scanners, osmolarity testing, meibography, Tear Care procedures, and macular pigment optical density testing. We have been hosting students since 2009, and we have found it to be fulfulling and a lot of fun!
