Corneal practice that specializes in refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK), keratoconus and associated procedures (PKP, IEK, corneal collagen crosslinking, intacs, topography-guided PRK), uveitis and other inflammatory ocular diseases, dry eye and specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus and other ocular conditions.
Learning Objectives:
1.To develop the student's ability to communicate and work well with other staff members, health care professionals and patients alike.
2. To develop high skill level while using instruments and other optometric techniques that may be specific to cornea. As well as applying knowledge learned by shadowing doctors and examining patients to come up with a prior diagnosis.
3. To work on current research being conducted at the office for possible publication. Research of our patients provides students the knowledge of analyzing and obtaining data for medical publications.
