Student Review

I became familiar with practicing in British Columbia and managing ocular disease in a private practice setting. Aside from routine exams, I saw a variety of glaucoma, diabetic, ARMD, and red eye cases. There were also a few low vision exams to help patients select devices. Dr Poon is a great preceptor. He is very professional and knowledgeable. When presenting the case to him, he challenges his students to come up with their own diagnosis and plan before he sees the patient. He is very eager to teach and learn from students as well. He genuinely enjoys having students at his site and ensured I had a good experience.
