Discontinued prior to 06/2021 due to staffing changes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Provide problem oriented complete eye care.
Improve efficiency in both exams and treatment plans.
Observe multiple surgical procedures. (Every other Wednesday with opportunity to also scrub into OR 1-2 times per rotation).

Arrival procedure for students:
Please call Dr. Swetland-Pilati at the office a few weeks prior to the start of the rotation. An information packet will be mailed to you. Site requires proof of immunization (TB), and a letter of good standing from ICO. On the first day, arrive at 8:30am and report to Dr. Swetland-Pilati.

"This is a great advanced care site. You will see a wide variety of diseases, both chronic and urgent. The doctors are very easy to work with and helpful. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, with 3 late nights a month. Usually you will be out by 5-530 during the week."

The student works 5 days, with 1 rotating day off during the week.
Student goes to LaGrange Eyecare Associates (satellite of Gottlieb Eye Center) on Wednesday afternoons for 3 out of 4 weeks a month, in addition to the occasional Tuesday afternoon, (approximately 1-2 times a month).
