An ophthalmology/optometry practice (6 OD’s, 1 MD) that provides cataract and refractive surgery procedures that includes pre- and post-op management, as well as primary care and disease management. Our campus includes an ASC, clinic, LASIK suite and optical. There are 12 fully equipped lanes as well as auxillary testing ( OCT, visual fields, topographer, Pentacam, Lipiscan/Lipiflow). Our ASC includes a femtosecond laser, ORA and YAG laser. Our ICO alumni are prepared to provide the best experience for the students, as we fully understand the importance of the externship program.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. To become comfortable in a private practice that engages ophthalmology and optometry integrated services.

2. To provide the opportunity to follow surgical cases from pre-operative to post-operative care as it applies to cataract and refractive surgery patients.

3. To become comfortable in the disease management of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration.
