We have a long established practice on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to providing quality eye care, meshed with the latest technology. It is a comfortable environment where patients return year after year.  We are one of the few independently owned African American practices in the city of Chicago.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Expose students to private practice.

  2. Emphasize skills needed in the business aspects of the OD in private practice.

  3. Fine tune the skills needed in the clinical primary care exam.

I learned a lot about how to manage primary care cases and how to make proper referrals when comanaging complicated ocular disease. I was afforded a lot of independence (with guidance when needed) that allowed me to develop my own style for patient care.
