Description
Bastien and Prizant offers a full range of eye health services to clients of all ages, from children to older adults; routine eye exams and vision tests, eye disease diagnosis and management, immediate attention for eye emergencies, and complete eye health management. The optometrists also offer corrective laser eye surgery co-management. Dr. Prizant’s main focus is based on the application of various contact lens modalities.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The student will elaborate their knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and interpretation of VF’s, OCT’s, topography and Optomap. There is an emphasis on student development as a clinician and problem solver by gathering information and formulating the diagnosis and treatment.
Increase efficiency and confidence in fitting and managing various contact lenses – soft, GP and scleral.
The student will gain valuable knowledge in practice management in a private practice, with an emphasis on the importance of communication skills and patient education.
